Raptors’ Fred VanVleet questionable for Friday’s game vs. Wizards

NBA insider Alvin Williams joins Lead Off to discuss his playoff expectations for the Raptors this season without a "superstar" player, and whether Pascal Siakam might one day fill that role.

Toronto Raptors point guard Fred VanVleet is questionable for the team’s game against the Washington Wizards on Friday, according to the NBA’s official injury report.

VanVleet has missed the past four games with a hamstring injury.

Raptors coach Nick Nurse told reporters Wednesday that the 25-year-old is healthy and probable to return over the weekend.

Toronto hosts Washington on Friday, before heading on the road to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

VanVleet is averaging 18 points, 3.9 rebounds and seven assists on the season, while shooting 39.4 per cent from the field and 37.2 per cent from three.
