Patrick McCaw will return to the lineup tonight for the Toronto Raptors as they take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. Fred VanVleet, who was listed as questionable for the game, will not play due to a right knee contusion.

McCaw had a benign mass removed from the back of his left knee in early November. He was expected to be re-evaluated in four weeks.

McCaw, 24, has averaged 4.0 points and 1.5 steals in a pair of games in his second season with the Raptors.

VanVleet sustained the contusion against the Houston Rockets on Dec. 5, and attempted to play through the injury against the Philadelphia 76ers the following night before bowing out early.

The 25-year-old VanVleet has gotten off to a strong start this season, averaging career-highs in points (18), rebounds (3.8), assists (7.0), steals (2.0), and minutes (36.6) on 40.9 per cent shooting from the field and a lethal 39.5 per cent shooting from three-point range.
