Kawhi Leonard will not be in the lineup for the Toronto Raptors on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Miami Heat due to load management, the team announced Saturday.

Toronto has stuck with their season-long plan to give their star off-season acquisition as much rest as possible in the hopes of keeping him fresh and healthy for the playoffs.

According to Sportsnet’s Michael Grange, this will be the third straight Sunday game Leonard will not play. He’s on pace to play 60 of 82 games this season.

Leonard put up 31 points in the Raptors 127-104 blowout victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, a win that helped snapped a two-game skid.
