Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry is questionable while centre Marc Gasol is out for Sunday’s pre-season game against the Chicago Bulls.
Lowry, who had an operation to repair damaged ligaments in his left thumb earlier this summer, missed both of the Raptors NBA Japan Games where they went 1-1 against the Houston Rockets.
After suiting up in the second half of the team’s Japan series, and winning the FIBA World Cup with Spain, the Raptors decided to rest Gasol against Chicago as a way to manage his minutes heading into the season. The 34-year-old had six points and six rebounds in 18 minutes of action against Houston.
Tipoff between the Raptors and Bulls is set for 6 p.m. ET at Scotiabank Arena. They will finish their exhibition schedule on the road against the Brooklyn Nets on Oct. 18 before kicking off their season at home against the New Orleans Pelicans.
