Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will not play Saturday night versus the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a back injury, according to Sportsnet’s Eric Smith.
In all 23 games for the Raptors this season, Lowry has averaged 15.4 points, 10.3 assists, and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 45.4 per cent from the field.
Coach Nick Nurse did not provide a timetable on Lowry’s return, but the team did mention that he will remain active prior to Saturday’s game.
Expect Fred Van Vleet and Delon Wright to likely get extended minutes with Lowry out for the first-place Raptors, who are riding a seven-game win streak.
