Toronto Raptors centre Marc Gasol is not likely to return to game action before the NBA all-star break, Sportsnet’s Michael Grange reports.

Gasol suffered his second left hamstring injury of the season against the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 28 and hasn’t played since. The 35-year-old has missed 15 of the team’s last 22 games after originally getting hurt for the first time in late December.

In 35 games this season, Gasol is averaging 7.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 42 per cent from the field.

The Raptors have five games remaining before the all-star break — when the club will be off from Feb. 13 to 21.

In other Raptors injury news, guard Norman Powell was spotted taking some shots with one hand before practice Tuesday. The 26-year-old remains out indefinitely with a fracture in his left hand.
