Toronto Raptors centre Marc Gasol will not return to Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons with a left hamstring strain.

The 34-year-old suffered the injury late in the first quarter when he was running back in transition. He was seen grabbing his left leg and went straight to the locker room with trainer Alex McKechnie.

In 26 games this season, Gasol is averaging 6.8 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

The Raptors said Gasol will be re-evaluated in Toronto on Thursday.
