Toronto Raptors guard Patrick McCaw and forward Rondae Hollis-Jefferson were both ruled out ahead of Friday’s pre-season road matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, according to the team.

McCaw is dealing with a sore left knee cap while Hollis-Jefferson has a sore left groin.

Through three pre-season games with the Raptors (1-2), McCaw has shot just 22.2 per cent from the field while playing 19.3 minutes per game. After signing with Toronto mid-season last year, he inked a two-year deal in the summer.

For Hollis-Jefferson, Friday would’ve been his first chance to face his former team. After spending his first four years with the Nets, Hollis Jefferson signed a one-year deal with the Raptors in July.
