The Toronto Raptors announced that centre Lucas Nogueira sustained a muscle tear in his right calf and will be unavailable for Friday’s home game against the Indiana Pacers.
The @Raptors announced that test results confirmed Lucas Nogueira sustained a muscle tear in his right calf. He was treated with a platelet-rich plasma injection (PRP) to enhance the healing process. He will not play Friday vs. Indiana.

He sustained the injury during Wednesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets, and was able to go to the locker room without assistance.
After a positive start to the year, Nogueira has fallen behind Jakob Poeltl in the bench rotation. He’s in the final year of his contract and averaging 3.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 12 minutes per game.
