The Toronto Raptors have officially signed guard Matt Thomas from the Spanish Liga ACB, the team announced Friday.

Terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed, although previous reports indicated a three-year deal.

Thomas, 24, played the last two seasons with Valencia Basket, averaging 11.4 points, 1.6 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 29 games last season en route to a EuroCup title. He’s best known for his three-point shooting, connecting on 48.5 per cent of his attempts from beyond the arc in 2018-19 and 51.1 per cent from the floor overall.

A Decatur, Ill., native, Thomas played college ball at Iowa State from 2013 to 2017. He went undrafted in 2017 before pursuing an opportunity overseas.
