Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam has been named the NBA’s Eastern Conference player of the week.
Siakam becomes the eighth Raptors player in franchise history to win the award, joining DeMar DeRozan (10), Vince Carter (7), Chris Bosh (7), Kyle Lowry (4), Mike James, Jalen Rose, and Lou Williams.
In three games last week, the Cameroon-native averaged 20.0 points and 4.3 rebounds, while shooting an astounding 72.4 per cent from the field.
Through 13 games this season, Siakam has put up career bests in points (13.3), rebounds (6.7), and assists (2.1) — while shooting a career-high 63.4 per cent from the field.
In the west, Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum was named player of the week after averaging 25.7 points and 4.3 rebounds while leading the Trail Blazers to a 3-0 week.
