The Toronto Raptors will unofficially begin their 2019-20 season in Japan.
Announced Friday, the Raptors will play the first two of their four exhibition contests against the new-look Houston Rockets at Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo, Japan on Oct. 8 and 10, respectively, as part of the NBA Japan Games 2019.
The defending NBA champs will only play one pre-season game at home in Toronto, taking on the Chicago Bulls at Scotiabank Arena Oct. 13 before concluding their pre-season schedule with an Oct. 18 contest with the Brooklyn Nets at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
Prior to playing in these friendlies, the Raptors will hold their formal 2019-20 season training camp starting from Sept. 29 at Laval University in Quebec City.
