When the Toronto Raptors take the court against the Washington Wizards on Friday night, they will be wearing their original road purple jersey for the first time this millennium.
The move to bring back the retro uniforms is part of the team’s 20th anniversary celebration. Former fan-favourites Antonio Davis and Alvin Williams will be on hand to take in the game.
Fans in attendance at the Air Canada Centre will also receive a free purple t-shirt. Initial reaction to the news has been positive on Twitter:
