Toronto Raptors centre Jonas Valanciunas has been named to the Lithuanian national team’s preliminary squad for Eurobasket 2015, according to TalkBasket.net.
Valanciunas, who turns 23 on Wednesday, is no stranger to International Basketball Federation (FIBA) play, taking part in various competitions over his career.
Most recently, he represented Lithuania at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, averaging 8.4 rebounds, 14.4 points and 24.8 minutes in nine games.
The native of Utena, Lithuania, just completed his third season in the NBA after being taken 5th overall by the Raptors in the 2011 draft.
