Philadelphia 76ers all-star Ben Simmons will reportedly continue to work with doctors to evaluate a course of action on his injured back, with the expectation being that he is sidelined for an undetermined period of time, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 23-year-old star left the 76ers’ 119-98 loss to Milwaukee on Saturday night after tweaking his back in the first quarter. He only managed to play five minutes, picking up five points and two rebounds.

Simmons underwent an initial evaluation on his back on Sunday in Philadelphia and was ruled out of Monday’s game against the Atlanta Hawks. Philadelphia expects there to be an answer over the next 24 hours about what the next steps are for addressing Simmons’ back issue, Wojnarowski further reported.

In 54 games this season, Simmons is averaging 16.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 8.3 assists.
