Philadelphia 76ers forward Jimmy Butler will miss Saturday’s game against the Denver Nuggets but could return to the lineup Tuesday against the Los Angeles Lakers, according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

Butler suffered a right wrist injury on Jan. 19 in a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder and hasn’t played since. According to Haynes, Butler had further examination on his wrist Friday where specialists confirmed it was only a sprain and not more serious.

The four-time all-star had surgery on the same wrist over the summer, according to Haynes.

In 38 games split between the 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves, Butler is averaging 19.6 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 47 per cent from the field.
