Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis has been ruled out against the Indiana Pacers for Tuesday night’s game at Bankers Life Fieldhouse due to an ankle injury, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
Late in the fourth quarter against the Atlanta Hawks this past Sunday, Davis tweaked his right ankle and limped his way through the rest of the contest. Despite his evident discomfort, however, he managed to help push the Lakers to a 101–96 victory and finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds.
No information on if Davis will miss additional action has been made available at this time.
The 26-year-old has formed a quick and potent dynamic with fellow superstar LeBron James to start this season that has elevated the Lakers to the top of the Western Conference by way of a 24–3 record and sees them currently in the midst of a seven-game win streak.
Davis is averaging 27.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.6 blocks on 49.9 per cent shooting from the floor.
