The Boston Celtics have traded centre Aron Baynes and guard Ty Jerome, the No. 24 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, to the Phoenix Suns, in exchange for a 2020 first-round pick, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Baynes, 32, is a defensive centre who averaged 5.6 points per game in 51 games for Boston last season, primarily coming off the bench.

Earlier in the draft, the Celtics acquired the No. 24 pick that turned into Jerome from the Philadelphia 76ers in a trade that saw them send the No. 20 pick, Matisse Thybulle, to Philadelphia.

Jerome is a junior guard from the NCAA champion Virginia Cavaliers best known for his play-making skills.
