Report: DeMarcus Cousins out for season with torn Achilles

DeMarcus Cousins had 15 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists before injuring his left Achilles, as the New Orleans Pelicans survived a Houston rally for a 115-113 victory over the Rockets on Friday.

New Orleans Pelicans centre DeMarcus Cousins tore his ACL in Friday night’s win over the Houston Rockets and will miss the rest of the season, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Cousins suffered the injury with less than 15 seconds left and could not put any weight on his left foot. He finished the game with a triple-double of 15 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

The Pelicans are 27-21 on the season and currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference.
