Canadian Dillon Brooks will likely miss the remainder of the NBA season with a right toe injury, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Brooks suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of the Memphis Grizzlies‘ Jan. 5 loss against the San Antonio Spurs. He was originally listed as being day-to-day, but the issue is apparently more serious than initially thought — ultimately being ruled a ruptured ligament in his right big toe.

This is the second time this season that Brooks has been forced to miss time. In November, he suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain that kept him out of the lineup for 21 games.

As a result of the toe procedure he will undergo, the Canadian’s sophomore season will end with him having played 18 games, posting averages of 7.5 points and 1.7 rebounds in a little over 18 minutes per contest.
