Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell has tested positive for COVID-19. Mitchell himself confirmed the results on his Instagram page.
Reports broke late Wednesday that Jazz centre Rudy Gobert had tested positive for coronavirus — the first among NBA players. The league responded quickly by suspending the 2019-20 season indefinitely, with several teams advised to self-quarantine.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Gobert’s teammates said he “had been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings.”
