In a bit of news that fans of the Toronto Raptors will be unhappy to hear, Texas point guard Myck Kabongo will be a member of the Miami Heat’s summer league team according to Probasketballdraft.com.
The Toronto native wasn’t selected in Thursday’s NBA Draft after leaving the Longhorns two years early.
He had a rocky sophomore season at Texas that was cut short by a 23-game suspension he was forced to serve for taking a paid trip to Cleveland to work out with Cavaliers forward Tristan Thompson.
Kabongo only played 11 games last winter and averaged 15 points, five rebounds and 5.5 assists as a sophomore.
While the Raptors missed out on Kabongo, it appears as though they have netted one target for their own summer league team.
