The New York Knicks are planning on contacting Raptors 905 head coach Jerry Stackhouse as part of their search to fill their vacant head coaching position, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Stackhouse joined the Toronto Raptors as an assistant in 2015, and has been the bench boss of Toronto’s G League affiliate for the past two seasons.

The Raptors 905 won the G League in 2016-17, with Stackhouse earning coach of the year honours, before falling to the Austin Spurs in the finals on Tuesday.

The Knicks fired head coach Jeff Hornacek late Wednesday night after a 29-53 season.
