Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving is preparing for free agency, and that includes a change in representation.
According to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Irving has split from his longtime agent Jeff Wechsler.
He’s reportedly planning to join ROC Nation Sports, the sports management company founded by Jay-Z.
Irving made headlines earlier Wednesday when he decided against opting in to the final season on his deal with the Celtics, according to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania, which means he’s free to negotiate a new contract with Boston or hit the open market.
NBA free agency opens June 30 at 6 p.m. ET.
