Monta Ellis has found a new home.
According to reports, the veteran guard reached a three-year, $25 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks.
Ellis, 27, averaged 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game in 82 games with the Milwaukee Bucks last season.
It is the second major addition Dallas made in free agency at the guard position as the club signed point guard Jose Calderon to a four-year, $28 million deal last week.
It has been an eventful day for the Mavericks, who will be without rookie guard Shane Larkin for two-to-three months after breaking his ankle during a practice in summer league.
The Mavericks were also close to adding point guard Devin Harris, but he will not be joining the organization after his deal fell through because of a toe injury that will keep him out until training camp.
