The NBA’s current projection has games resuming in late July or early August, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

The potential return to play timeline comes as the NBA works to develop its own multi-phase medical/safety protocols toward restart of play.

In terms of a potential timeline, Charania reports that in-market training camps are currently projected to start in July, followed by camps and scrimmages taking place in Orlando.

The NBA and NBPA is also working on a plan to accommodate players’ families as the league aims to resume play, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne. The plan would allow a limited number of family members to eventually join players as the season resumes inside an Orlando bubble environment.
