The Brooklyn Nets and recently acquired centre Dwight Howard will negotiate a buyout, which will send Howard to free agency, according to ESPN’s Chris Haynes.

Brooklyn acquired Howard in a deal with the Charlotte Hornets Wednesday. He was due to make $23.8 million this season, the final year of his contract.

Howard averaged 16.6 points and 12.5 rebounds per game in 2017-18.

More to come.
