Report: Raptors agree to deal with Greg Monroe

George Rusic talks with Toronto Raptors radio play-by-play voice Paul Jones about the team's acquisition of Greg Monroe.

The Toronto Raptors have reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with free agent centre Greg Monroe worth $2.2 million, according to Yahoo’s Shams Charania.

Monroe split the past season with Phoenix, Milwaukee, and Boston, averaging 10.3 points per game on 56.5 per cent shooting.

The veteran big man can fill the hole on the depth chart that arose with the trade of Jakob Poeltl to San Antonio.

The Raptors are also poised to lose centre Lucas Nogueira, after deciding not to qualify the 26-year-old, making him an unrestricted free agent.
