Raptors’ Kyle Lowry out vs. Heat, day-to-day with bruised tailbone

Kyle Lowry would need to be carried to the locker room after he took a hard fall while trying to grab a rebound in OT.

A day after Toronto Raptors star guard Kyle Lowry suffered acute back spasms after a hard fall against the Brooklyn Nets, it appears the injury isn’t as bad as it first seemed.

Lowry is listed as day-to-day with a bruised tailbone and back spasms and will not play Tuesday in Miami.

Going up for a rebound with just over a minute to go in overtime, Lowry landed hard on his back and was forced to exit Monday’s game and was helped into the locker room with the aid of teammates Lucas Nogueira and Jonas Valanciunas.

After the injury report, LeBron James tweeted his concern for Toronto’s star point guard.

Lowry had played all 38 games for the Raptors this season, averaging 16.2 points, a team-high seven assists and 6.1 rebounds on 42.6 per cent shooting and 39.2 per cent from three-point range.
