Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby could be out of the lineup until a potential Eastern Conference Finals berth, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Anunoby underwent an emergency appendectomy on Thursday, and it was first reported he would miss at least the entire first round of the NBA Playoffs.

The 21-year-old had a tough 2018-19 season, sitting out a total of 15 games — eight of them for personal reasons, three because of a sprained wrist and four due to concussion-like symptoms.

Anunoby averaged seven points and 2.9 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per game and averaged 45.3 per cent while shooting from the floor.

The Raptors begin their playoff campaign on Saturday night at home against the Orlando Magic.
