Raptors’ Patrick McCaw has benign mass removed from back of knee

NBA insider Blake Murphy joins Good Show to discuss what the Patrick McCaw knee surgery means to the Raptors depth chart, and who might be the next man up.

Toronto Raptors swingman Patrick McCaw had a benign mass removed from the back of his left knee on Wednesday, the team announced via press release.

The Raptors say McCaw will be reevaluated in four weeks, however an exact timetable for the 24-year-old’s return has not been determined. McCaw will not travel with the team on their upcoming five-game west coast road trip.

McCaw, 24, has averaged 4.0 points and 1.5 steals in a pair of games in his second season with the Raptors.

The 2016 second-round pick (38th overall) of the Milwaukee Bucks averaged 2.7 points, 1.0 assists and 0.8 steals in 26 games for the Raptors last season.
