Report: Raptors to play on opening night of NBA season vs. Pelicans

The Toronto Raptors will begin their title defence on opening night of the 2019-20 NBA season, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

Toronto’s first game of the season will see them face highly-touted rookie Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans.

Former Raptor Kawhi Leonard will also reportedly begin his season on opening night, with his Los Angeles Clippers slated to take on the Los Angeles Lakers in round one of the battle for Staples Center supremacy.
