The Toronto Raptors have filled one of their offseason must-haves by signing back-up point guard Julyan Stone, according to Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski.

Stone, a 6-foot-7 point guard, spent his first two NBA seasons with new Raptors GM Masai Ujiri in Denver.

In his second season with the Nuggets, Stone averaged 1.8 points and 0.5 assists in just four appearances. He spent the first half of the season working on a return from offseason hip surgery.

Stone attended the University of Texas El-Paso and was a four-year senior before signing with Denver after not being seleceted in the 2011 NBA Draft. He has spent stints in the D-League in each of his two seasons, appearing first with the Idaho Stampede and with the Iowa Energy this past season.

With the Nuggets drafting Erick Green and having both Ty Lawson and Andre Miller under contract, Stone became expendable.

The Raptors were down to one point guard on the roster after they declined their option on John Lucas III last week. Sebastian Telfair’s contract also expired at the end of the season.
