The Toronto Raptors will be receiving a 2018 second-round draft pick from the Orlando Magic as compensation for the loss of general manager Jeff Weltman, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The pick will be the least desirable of Orlando’s two second-rounders. The Magic currently have their own, and the pick that originally belonged to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Weltman was hired to be the president of the Magic on Monday, after nearly four years in the Raptors organization.
He became the Toronto’s GM in September of 2016.
