Report: Raptors to receive second-round pick from Magic for Weltman

Adrian Wojnarowski joins the show to discuss what Jeff Weltman leaving means for the Raptors moving forward and if Kyle Lowry re-signing is the likeliest scenario next season.

The Toronto Raptors will be receiving a 2018 second-round draft pick from the Orlando Magic as compensation for the loss of general manager Jeff Weltman, according to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski‏.

The pick will be the least desirable of Orlando’s two second-rounders. The Magic currently have their own, and the pick that originally belonged to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Weltman was hired to be the president of the Magic on Monday, after nearly four years in the Raptors organization.

He became the Toronto’s GM in September of 2016.
