The Toronto Raptors have signed big man Eric Moreland to a 10-day contract, according to Michael Scotto of The Athletic.

Moreland went undrafted in 2014 but has since been in uniform for the Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons and Phoenix Suns, last playing in the NBA on Dec. 10, 2018 against the Golden State Warriors. The 27-year-old has also spent time in the NBA G League.

Toronto was in need of a bit more depth at the centre position as a result of the three-game suspension incurred by Serge Ibaka as a result of his physical altercation with Marquese Chriss on Monday night.

The Raptors are back in action against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night.
