The Toronto Raptors have signed forward Nigel Hayes to a 10-day contract from the NBA G League’s Westchester Knicks, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting.
A former University of Wisonsin star, Hayes went undrafted in 2017 after spending four seasons with the Badgers and has played the majority of his career with the G League’s Knicks.
In 38 career games with Westchester, Hayes has averaged 16.1 points and 6.7 rebounds on 45 per cent shooting.
He has also appeared in two games for the Los Angeles Lakers, including the Lakers’ 123-111 loss in Toronto on January 28th.

Last summer Hayes participated in pre-draft workouts in Toronto in front of the Raptors coaching staff.
By bringing in the 23-year-old, the Raptors appear to be trying out another small forward candidate to take the place of the injured OG Anunoby, who remains day-to-day with an ankle injury.
Sunday against the Charlotte Hornets, Toronto gave Raptors 905 standout Malcolm Miller his first career NBA start.
