Houston Rockets guard Eric Gordon could miss one to two weeks after suffering an injury to his left ankle during the team’s 137-112 exhibition win over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday, according to ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 31-year-old Gordon had to be carried to the locker room after landing awkwardly on his left ankle following a leaping pass with roughly a minute remaining in the second quarter.

Wojnarowski reports that further details will be known after he is evaluated Wednesday.

Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni told reporters after the game that he expected Gordon to be out “a few days.”

The 11-year NBA veteran is averaging 14.5 points along with 1.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists on 37 per cent shooting with Houston this season.
