Free agent Vince Carter has agreed to join the Sacramento Kings on a one-year contract worth $8 million, reports ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 40-year-old Carter will be playing in his 20th NBA campaign. Carter averaged eight points, 3.1 rebounds and 24.6 minutes in 73 game with the Memphis Grizzlies this past season.
The Daytona Beach, Fla., native began his career with Toronto, playing in seven seasons and establishing himself as a superstar with the Raptors. He was traded to the New Jersey Nets in 2004 and has also played for the Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks during his career.
