Report: Wesley Matthews to sign with Pacers after buyout

Wesley Matthews will be released by the New York Knicks today and intends to sign with the Indiana Pacers, according to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania.

In 46 games played this season as a member of the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks, he is averaging 12.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 37 per cent from three-point territory.

The Knicks will also release centre Enes Kanter on Thurday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. No imminent destination is currently known for Kanter.

Kanter averaged 14 points on 53.6 per cent shooting from the floor to go along with 10.5 rebounds per game in 44 appearances as a member of the Knicks this season.
