Wizards will send their own 2023 second-rounder to Pelicans along with Morris for Johnson. Washington officially now under the tax threshold for 2019-20 and thus won’t be subject to repeater taxes.

It is appearing more and more unlikely that the Pelicans are looking to deal Anthony Davis and could now be looking to bolster their roster to join the playoff hunt.
Washington appears to be gutting the roster and clearing salary to rebuild upon the news that John Wall will likely miss most of the 2019-20 season after rupturing his Achilles and are now under the luxury tax threshold.
Despite that, Charania reported that the Wizards have no plans to trade all-star Bradley Beal before the deadline.
Sources: The Wizards have moved off Otto Porter and Markieff Morris tonight to go under luxury tax threshold — but have no plans to move All-Star Bradley Beal before the deadlne.
