Rockets sign former first-overall pick Anthony Bennett

The Houston Rockets have signed Canadian free-agent forward Anthony Bennett, the team announced Thursday.

The Toronto native was the first-overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2013 NBA Draft and has played 151 career games with the Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors, Minnesota Timberwolves and Brooklyn Nets.

Bennett spent the past two seasons playing in the G League, averaging 13.4 points and 5.8 rebounds in 24.4 minutes per game while shooting 49.5 per cent from the field and 43.3 per cent from three-point range.
