Sixers’ Joel Embiid after Eagles’ Super Bowl win: We’re up next

Nick Foles was named Super Bowl MVP after he led the Philadelphia Eagles to a 41-33 win over the New England Patriots.

Philadelphia is a city of champions once again and according to 76ers centre Joel Embiid, fans should get used to saying that.

Embiid went out partying with fans after the Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LII but he stopped for a quick interview with a local TV station.

“That was amazing, I’m so happy for the whole city of Philadelphia,” Embiid said. “We’re going to have a lot of fun now, we’re up next.

“Trust the process.”

Embiid will be heading to his first NBA all-star game later this month. And with a team that includes rising stars like Ben Simmons and last year’s first-overall pick Markelle Fultz, it isn’t inconceivable to imagine the Sixers winning a title in the near future.
