Kawhi Leonard isn’t the only one who thinks the Toronto Raptors‘ first look of the season at the San Antonio Spurs is “going to be fun.”
Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge also appears amused about DeMar DeRozan‘s reunion with his old team on Thursday, according to Mariah Medina from San Antonio’s KSAT-TV.
“Give me some popcorn, I just want to watch it,” Aldridge told reporters after the Spurs’ 120-111 win against the Boston Celtics on Sunday. “If I could get some popcorn and watch it I would, but I might have to play.”

Aldridge, who left the Portland Trail Blazers to join the Spurs in 2015, expressed sympathy for DeRozan’s situation.
“I mean, it’s emotional for sure, I’ve been there,” he said. “I can’t speak for him (DeMar), but I know it’s definitely not (just) another game, for sure.”
DeRozan, on the other hand, didn’t appear to be too worried about his first game facing the Raptors.
“I wish I had something cool to say,” DeRozan said after the Spurs beat the Celtics. “At some point I’m gonna get to it but I haven’t been thinking about it.”
The Raptors will likely be without star guard, and DeRozan’s close friend, Kyle Lowry for the Thursday matchup, as he is still nursing a lower-back injury that has caused him to miss eight of the past nine games.
