For the second year running Stephen Curry was named NBA MVP, with his 2016 honours being the first-ever unanimous MVP vote in league history. In the virtual world, it was only right that his NBA 2K16 counterpart would be capable of pulling of the same jaw-dropping moves as Curry himself.
Starting at 6:00 p.m. ET tonight, and for the following 30 hours, 2K16 users will be able to play as the MVP with a 99 rating. The boost will “make him the greatest shooter in NBA 2K history.” according to a statement released by Under Armour this week.
Developers at the 2K studios have had trouble replicating Curry’s sensational style in the game before, but this new update will finally bring the Golden State superstar his true powers.
Just two days removed from a record-setting overtime performance, it’s fitting Curry becomes immortalized in the virtual world.
