Curry’s dominance in T.O. forced Dell out of gym

Steph Curry has been making opponents look like fools all season en route to his first MVP award.

But it pales in comparison to the way he used to embarrass opponents during the lone year he spent living in Toronto in the eighth grade, where he tore up middle school courts across the GTA, averaging nearly 50 points a game for Etobicoke’s Queensway Christian College Saints.

Former Toronto Raptor Dell Curry (Steph’s dad, in case you just woke up from a coma) moved his family to the city during part of his tenure with the Raps, and he recalls an incident that forced him out of the gym in the midst of a 63-point performance from his son:

“All these people were coming in to see what was going on, and there was so much commotion, it seemed like he was never going to stop,” Dell told Sports Illustrated “I had to get out of there. I felt bad for the other team. I couldn’t watch what he was doing to those kids.”
