Phoenix Suns point guard Isaiah Canaan had to be stretchered off the court on Wednesday night after suffering an awful looking injury to his left ankle during a game against the Dallas Mavericks.

Canaan was going in for a layup when he was knocked to the ground, landing awkwardly on his left leg, which folded in a manner similar to the way Gordon Hayward‘s leg broke in Boston’s season opener.

Opponents and fans were quick to wish Canaan well in his recovery.
