OKLAHOMA CITY — Veteran forward Michael Ruffin has been waived by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Thunder General Manager Sam Presti announced the move Thursday, hours before Oklahoma City’s final pre-season game against the Sacramento Kings.
Ruffin is a former Tulsa standout who appeared in only one pre-season game for the Thunder. He went scoreless and had one rebound in 12 minutes.
The 32-year-old Ruffin has played parts of nine seasons in the NBA. He spent time last season with Portland and previously played for Chicago, Philadelphia, Utah, Washington and Milwaukee.
