Top 5 games from Warriors’ record-breaking streak

Greg Monroe scored 28 points as the Milwaukee Bucks ended the Golden State Warriors 24 game winning streak with a 108-95 win.

It’s finally over.

In the last of a seven-game road trip, on the second night of a back-to-back, the Golden State Warriors‘ unbeaten streak came to a screaming halt Saturday at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Warriors are now a not-too-shabby 24-1 for the season.

En route to this incredible record, Steph Curry was literally lights out, recording seven 40-plus point games while displaying mind-bending accuracy from beyond the arc.

With Golden State’s record-breaking run in the books, here’s a look at some of the most memorable games from this legendary streak.

5. The OT thriller

Just one night before the Warriors lost to the Bucks, the Boston Celtics came oh-so-close. It took a pair of overtime frames, but the Warriors came out on top, in part thanks to Draymond Green’s “5×5” (points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks), the first of its kind in the NBA since 2012.

4. Sometimes you have to be a bit “lucky”

The Warriors went 12-0 after a close and controversial game against the Toronto Raptors. Many in the Six will remember two questionable calls made during this game, both leading to turnovers and, arguably, a Raptors loss.

3. Defence wins championships

The offensively-gifted Warriors can also do it on the defensive end. Just ask the Memphis Grizzlies.

2. The Maestro

Curry was the protagonist of the streak. He was simply unstoppable. The best display of his talents came in the third game of the season against New Orleans Pelicans. Chef Curry served up 53.

1. The Record Breaker

On Nov. 24, the Los Angeles Lakers entered Oracle Arena prepared to witness history. With the win, Golden State set the record for the best start in NBA history.
