DETROIT — Family and friends are set to say a final goodbye to former University of Michigan star and professional basketball player Robert (Tractor) Traylor.
A funeral service is to be held Thursday at Greater New Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Detroit.
Traylor was found dead May 11 in his San Juan, Puerto Rico, apartment. He was 34.
The six-foot-eight, 300-pound Traylor was a member of the Bayamon Cowboys, but wasn’t playing at the time of his death due to injury.
He played three seasons with the Wolverines and was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks with the sixth pick in 1998. Dallas traded his rights to Milwaukee. He also played for Cleveland, Charlotte and New Orleans, averaging 4.8 points and 3.7 rebounds in 438 games.
