The sweep is complete.
For the second straight year — and the third time in the past four seasons — the Golden State Warriors are NBA Champions, taking down LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games to get there.
NBA Twitter is always an entertaining place, and Friday’s finale was certainly no exception.

Yet, as incredible as this year’s championship-winning squad is, the Warriors’ victory may not be the biggest story of the night. While the great dynasty debate will no doubt be a topic among basketball fans this off-season, the focus going forward — according to Twitter, anyway — will be on the star of the losing squad.
While he wasn’t crowned Friday night, Lebron was still the King of the Twittersphere as fans, peers and media members paid their respect to the best player in the game today following what may have been his final contest with the Cavaliers.

Salute to @KingJames he was phenomenal and unprecedented. The man inherited a new roster halfway through the season and took them to the @NBA Finals. He has led the way in our cry for social justice and never wavered. I #RESPECT the Man and Athlete and wish him well. #Town
